About Esferico: Case Study 1

Over fifteen years ago, the Esferico development team wrote a library management system utilising a range of techniques and styles that were a breath of fresh air in a stagnating UK industry.

Despite the fact that Microsoft Windows had been available for several years, the product was effectively the very first all-Windows based library management system in the UK.

Within one year, the system had risen from being the 'new kid on the block' to being one of the three top selling systems in its market place.

The system saw three incarnations and eventually reached nearly 1,000 clients in government departments, big business, the judicial and financial industries and in all levels of education in the UK and in several foreign states.

Today, Esferico are still involved in supporting the product range and are pleased to say that many clients still refuse to part with the original installations.
