About the founder

Move daddy, I want that chair...Since a small child, Craig has been connected in one form or another with Software Development and Digital Graphics. He saw his first career oriented move into IT in HM Government when he moved from Prison Service administration / finance into the then fledgling PSITG - the Prison Service IT Group.

During his time with the group, Craig was involved with the very small team administering the UNIX based IT systems that linked all of the Prison Service establishments in England and Wales. As part of the overall support of that network, Craig was also a principle software developer on C language interface and security applications as well as being a trainer in all of these systems.

When Craig finally left the Prison Service he did so only to form a small company that rose within one year to the top three in their niche market place. This involved nearly a thousand clients including central and local government departments, financial institutions, chemical and medical conglomerates, private companies and law firms and the full range of education establishment types in both the UK and Europe.

Following the retirement of his business partner, Craig formed a small set of new companies to pursue his continuing interest in various industries. Esferico ltd. develops both retail and bespoke software and maintains a range of special clients in the military and justice / law enforcement arenas.

It is a testament therefore, that Craig did this without any IT qualifications.

In 2004, Craig finally decided to rationalise his extensive three decades of IT experience with academic achievement. Since then, Craig has achieved a BSc Honours degree in computing, the same course that he now teaches, has Chartered IT Professional status with the Chartered Institute of IT (aka. the BCS) and is a member of the ELITE group as well as the Information and Technology Training, Computer Arts Society and Animation and Games Development special interest groups, and the BCS Academy of Computing.

This year, Craig also begins a progression through a Masters Degree, hoping to gain a Doctorate in about eight years time.

Craig continues to be the CEO and principle software developer with Esferico ltd.

Craig is married to Veronica, from Galicia in Spain and has a wonderful, if bossy, young daughter called Samantha Leia.
