Esferico ltd. staff have up to three decade of experience in the development of software applications on various platforms. Now principally concentrating on cross-platform software development for Windows, Mac and Linux, we have in the past had extensive experience of both Unix and other more obscure systems that are no longer in the business environment.

Cross Platform Development

To many, cross-platform development may seem an unnecessary burden in regards to the type of application that they envisage as being required for their needs. To Esferico however, we see cross platform development simple as the normal method of operation. While we are familiar with a number of development environments, our environment of choice today is REALSoftware's REALStudio development environment - an environment that allows us to develop applications for either Windows, Mac and Linux, a combination, or even all three.

This does not however, mean that development times are increased. Using this system Esferico can design and build applications that will have the native look and feel of each of these operating systems and yet all come from the same underlying code base. Rather than build three separate applications therefore, we need design and build only one and yet be able to deliver the same application for use on any of these operating systems.

The Software Development Process

Esferico are fully capable of both undertaking a development from start to finish, performing all of the necessary systems analysis internally, or by taking on documentation and interaction with existing analysts investigating your requirements.

Following the establishment of a fully project managed development program, using a scaled PRINCE2^tm system suitable to the size of the project at hand, development begins with full involvement of the client and discussion here on the Esferico forums.

Training and Documentation

Any product delivered by Esferico undergoes a full documentation process, with training to the level required by the client. As upgrades are undertaken, both scheduled as part of support costs in the case of 'retail' software and by agreement for bespoke development, both training materials and documentation are also updated.

Cross Platform, multi-database, multi-lingual

As well as deliver cross-platform developments, Esferico also regularly build in both database and multi-lingual flexibility. In our internally designed developments for example (such as Pergamon) we not only design to be Windows, Mac and Linux compatible, but also enable the utilisation of many different underlying database systems (such as systems already in use by the end-user on network servers) as well as optional interface languages.
